Mitchell Brown (aka Professor Cantaloupe) is responsible for the psychedelic, live sound collage radio program Glossolalia, Wednesdays on KXLU in L.A. He explores multi-dimensional aural worlds with many different collaborators on a regular basis.

Percussionist-composer Alex Cline has contributed and continues to contribute to the music of countless artists in the jazz and new music world and leads the Alex Cline Ensemble as a vehicle for his own music.

Nels Cline: Born in Los Angeles 1956. Guitar work in the grey areas between jazz, rock, and exploratory improvisation for over 20 years with lots of people.

Philip Gelb is a shakuhachi player based in the San Francisco bay area. He is a member of various ensembles including the Space Between, The Wind Trio of Alphaville and Trio Natto.

Vinny Golia is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. He leads the Vinny Golia Large Ensemble and Vinny Golia Quintet besides performing with many projects of varying instrumentation and size, he currently teaches at California Institute for the Arts. (Nine Winds/BMI)

Joseph Hammer re-mixes pre-existing recorded material, using vintage magnetic tape gear to create aural collages (phonomontage). An influential contributor to the Los Angeles underground music scene, he has actively created experimental sound works since 1980.

Michael Intriere was one of the founding members of the now-defunct underground chamber group Fat & Fucked-Up. An L.A. stalwart for over two decades, his exploration of the non-traditional capabilities of the acoustic cello has led him to collaborate with many of LA's foremost improvisers.

Lynn Johnston (clarinets, saxes) studied with Bobby Bradford at Pomona College. As Cruel Frederick he released two CDs for SST and in 2000 released "First We Feel" for WIN Records.

Mike Kelley has been exhibiting internationally since the 1970s. As a musician, Kelley has performed with Destroy All Monsters,Gobbler, Extended Organ, and The Poetics. He has collaborated with Paul McCarthy and Violent Onsen Geisha, as well as Scanner and Sonic Youth.

Heather Lockie is a violist and songwriter, teaches sound art. Part of True Classical CDs collective. Plays in Listing Ship, W.A.C.O., Amadans, etc. (Hairless Music/ASCAP) .

Miya Masaoka is a composer, kotoist, sound artist based in San Francisco and New York. She often works with video and computers, and performs with brain wave feedback, insect sounds and movement, physiological response of plants, Japanese American internees and many musicians and artists.

Paul McCarthy is an artist working in sculpture, installation, performance and video art. His work has been shown nationally and internationally. He has been involved with sound bands since 1967 including Still Life, Gobbler, Extended Organ and Violent Onsen Geisha.

Vince Meghrouni is a wind player, drummer and blues harp player who has composed several light operas in his mind on the subject of sauerkraut. (BMI)

Fredrik Nilsen is a noted photographer who has been engaged in sound experimentation for a three decades. He is a Doo-Dooette and a co-founder of the LAFMS. He currently plays Rheem Organ and a Goya guitar.

Pauline Oliveros is a composer performer and founder of Deep Listening (sm). She is president of Pauline Oliveros Foundation and Distinguished Research Professor of Music at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY.

Rick Potts has been collaborating with other unique musicians since his LAFMS days back in the hip 70''s. He performs in Solid Eye and Consolidated Lint with his custom hinge-neck guitars, musical saw, electronics and TV tray of toys, draws, paints and makes strange little monsters.

Joe Potts is a founder of The Los Angeles Free Music Society, and has been working in the field of Art/Sound for nearly thirty years.

Marina Rosenfeld is a composer, improviser and artist. She is the creator of the Sheer Frost Orchestra, has a couple records on the Charhizma label and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
