JESSICA RYLAN
In July 2007, SASSAS held a workshop for Los Angeles area musicians with a visiting electronic artist and synthesizer builder, Jessica Rylan. The workshop included a lesson on the history of the synthesizer, a synopsis of basic synth theory, and a discussion of sound making using complex mathematics as inspiration. Participants were Mitchell Brown, Stephen Cano, Alejandro Cohen, Jeremy Drake, Geddes Gengras, David Kendall, Greg Lenczycki, Jorge Martin and Joe Potts. Special thanks to the Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock for hosting the concert and workshop.
